You get what you pay for, and I was looking for cheap. That said, I was pleasantly suprised. The chest is made of particle board and is fastened together by screws instead of other hardwood joining methods, but this is right on par for a piece of furniture of this price. The assembly process was straight forward, and once together, the chest stands up square, functions properly, and has ample space inside it's 5 drawers. It also is handsome in appearance and finish, even though it is finished with laminate. There is still a faint odor of the glue used to bond particle board inside the drawers, but I suspect this will subside in time. ...
