Installed myself and when powered up the pump was locked up.Could not wait to send back for another pump so I took the end plate off and after many tries was able to free it.Don't know if it was a corrision problem(grinding noise)or an alignment problem with the end plate.Works perfectly now.Did not contact seller so I do not know how they would have reacted or if this was a Hayward problem.Motor is an A.O.Smith.
